The Honorable Ken Krieg, founder of Samford Global Strategies and former undersecretary of the Department of Defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, retired as LMI’s board chair after holding the post for over two years and serving on the board for more than a decade.
He helped LMI become a “digitally enabled consulting firm” that supports its defense, intelligence and other government customers, as well as achieve organic and inorganic growth of more than 25 percent during his tenure, the management consultancy said Monday.
Doug Wagoner, president and CEO of LMI and a 2021 Wash100 awardee, thanked Krieg for his leadership and contribution to company growth. “His guidance has driven us toward our vision—powering a future-ready, high-performing government,” the chief executive added.
Krieg’s service at the DOD also includes time working as director for program analysis and valuation, and executive secretary of the Senior Executive Council. At Samford Global Strategies, he provides CEOs with strategy consulting and advice.
His post at LMI will be filled by Lisa Disbrow, who chaired the audit and finance committee on the firm’s board.
