Kratos Designated as CMMC Certified Third-party Assessment Organization; Phil Carrai Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 30, 2021 — Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) will now be able to offer cyber readiness assessment services to defense companies following the former’s designation as a certified third-party assessment organization under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, ExecutiveBiz reported June 16.

Kratos, as a C3PAO, is authorized to audit companies looking to have CMMC certification at Maturity Levels 1 through 3 as required by Department of Defense contracts.

“CMMC will be a critical component of heightened security as all companies will need to pass strict CMMC security assessments before being awarded DOD contracts,” said Phil Carrai, president of space, training and cyber division at Kratos.

According to him, Kratos already has experience in conducting assessments and providing advisory services for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and other compliance frameworks.
