MPR Associates has received a $90 million contract from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for technical services in support of the Department of Energy and other federal agencies.
The company said Tuesday it will perform a range of technical support services, such as nuclear engineering, resource and risk assessments and program planning, under the contract.
MPR previously helped USACE support DOE’s waste removal, site remediation and construction activities at Oak Ridge and Los Alamos National Laboratories, the Hanford site and the Savannah River Site.
The company initially provided assistance to USACE and DOE efforts through a contract awarded in 2010.
Ryan Downs, federal vice president at MPR, said the company’s previous USACE projects led to the development of new technologies and approaches that could support high-risk, high-value construction efforts.
