Kristen Verderame, a 26-year legal and government affairs professional, has been promoted to VP of government relations at data management company NetApp, GovCon Wire has learned.
Verderame will manage NetApp’s worldwide public sector engagement and legislative initiatives as the Sunnyvale, California-based software provider aims to help customers address key mandates.
The company said it looks to increase risk mitigation and strategic planning efforts based on global trends in international affairs and to support agencies in information system modernization and cloud deployment projects.
She joined NetApp in 2018 as a government relations adviser and previously held a similar role at FireEye’s (Nasdaq: FEYE) and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
