Bryan Palma, former president and chief operating officer of Blackberry (NYSE: BB), has joined cybersecurity company FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE) as executive vice president of products.
He will oversee the development of FireEye technology platforms and optimization of software-as-a-service security offerings in his new position, the company said Thursday.
Palma led BlackBerry's transformation efforts during his short stint at the mobile software vendor.
His industry career also includes security-related positions at Boeing (NYSE: BA), Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), the former Hewlett-Packard and PepsiCo.
Earlier in his career, Palma was a special agent for the U.S. Secret Service and helped pioneer anti-cybercrime efforts in the agency's field office in Washington, D.C.
