Pratt & Whitney will maintain support tools, administer program activities, repair items, provide spares and deliver sustainment services for F135 engine technology, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The award also includes maintenance support unique to the fighter aircraft's three variants being used by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and the Air Force as well as non-DoD participants and FMS clients.
An initial contract obligation amounting to $215.5M will come from the U.S. military'ss fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance funds.
Work will run at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida; Hill AFB in Utah; Edwards AFB in California; Luke AFB in Arizona; Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina; Oklahoma City; East Hartford, Connecticut; and Camari, Italy, through November 2021.
