Professional services company Herndon Solutions Group has received a potential 10-year, $322.8M contract to provide environmental management and medical support to NASA and U.S. Air Force spaceport facilities in Florida.
The NASA Environmental and Medical Services Contract covers a range of environmental compliance and occupational health-related services for the agency’s Kennedy Space Center as well as the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, NASA said Friday.
Contract work is meant to support NASA’s efforts to address operational requirements and ensure the protection of the environment as well as personnel’s health in line with federal, state and local regulations, according to the agency.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract’s phase-in period will begin on Sept. 1 ahead of the two-year base period that will take place from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2022.
The NEMCON award also includes four two-year extension options.
