Liz Porter, acting president ofLeidos’ (NYSE: LDOS) health group since March, has been promoted to the position on a permanent basis.
She will report directly toRoger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos and a 2020 Wash100 Award recipient, and oversee technology, growth and thought leadership functions within the $2B, 7,500-employee business unit focused on the health care information technology market, the companysaid Monday.
Porter previously served a senior vice president and operation manager of the federal energy and environment division under the firm's civil group, where she oversaw projects with customers such as the Department of Energy, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Environmental Protection Agency.
Prior to joining Leidos, she worked atLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) as director of energy initiatives, corporate engineering and technology.
She has also led programs involving Department of Defense information systems, enterprise services and network technologies throughout her career.
Porter sis a board member at the American Red Cross' National Capital Region chapter and serves on the industrial advisory board at Villanova University's engineering department.
