Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has landed a potential five-year, $375.5M U.S. Navy contract modification to build software and hardware for India's MH-60R multirole helicopter development program.
The company will initially receive $117.7M in foreign military sales funds for the modification awarded under a firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
India is procuring up to 24 MH-60Rs, associated equipment and support services through a $2.6B FMS deal the State Department approved in April.
Work will take place in Owego, N.Y., and Stratford, Conn., through June 2025.
The Sea Hawk platform. manufactured by Lockheed's Sikorsky subsidiary, supports military missions such as anti-submarine, anti-surface and electromagnetic warfare, communications relay, surveillance, search-and-rescue, logistics and naval gunfire support.
