DHS Adds Sepio Device Security Platform to CDM Approved Products List

The Department of Homeland Security has certified Sepio Systems’ network defense platform for use by federal customers to help them manage cybersecurity posture under the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program.

Sepio said Tuesday that its Rogue Device Mitigation suite is now part of the department’s approved products list to support CDM-related activities such as asset, network security and data protection management as well as to help agencies comply with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act.

The Rockville, Md.-based company’s RDM technology uses analytics to assess device behavior and deploys a physical fingerprinting technology to protect systems against hardware-based threats from internal actors and supply-chain attackers.

RDM is designed to also integrate with Forescout Technologies’ (Nasdaq: FSCT) network access control offering.

Chen Ben Eliyahu, vice president of business development at Sepio, said the company seeks to extend its federal market footprint and support federal clients in efforts to gain security risk insights through the CDM initiative. Sepio worked with cybersecurity firm Merlin to bring the former’s platform to the government market.
