Alex Morrow
Alex Morrow, an 18-year veteran of nonprofit research and development organization Battelle, has joined counter-drone technology developer Dedrone as vice president of defense solutions.
Dedrone said Tuesday Morrow joins the company one month after it acquired counter-small unmanned aerial system, called DroneDefender, and aims to further develop the technology for public sector customers.
We look forward to working with Alex, as well as our partners at U.S. federal agencies, to advance our counter-drone technology offerings, and protect critical infrastructure and civilians from uncooperative or malicious sUAS,” said Phil Pitsky, VP of federal business development at Dedrone.
Morrow helped build the platform during his tenure as director of cUAS programs at Battelle and also led the development of laser, imaging, quantum key networking and 3D platforms there.
In his new capacity, he will work at Dedrones Columbus, Ohio, facility to oversee DroneDefender development, production and distribution efforts.
