Brian Shackley, a vice president and controller at AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV), will serve as the companys chief financial officer on an acting basis starting Oct. 18.
AeroVironment said Wednesday it has begun the process of finding a successor to Teresa Covington, who will step down as senior VP and CFO in October to join another company.
Our management team and Board of Directors are confident that Brian Shackleys deep financial expertise and significant knowledge of AeroVironment make him the right person to lead our Finance organization while we conduct a rigorous search for a new CFO who can help us achieve our long-term growth objectives, said Wahid Nawabi, president and CEO of AeroVironment.
Shackley is a certified public accountant who joined the company in 2016. He assumed his current roles as corporate controller and VP in 2017 after serving as the firm’s director of SEC reporting. He has nearly two decades of finance and accounting experience and is a former audit senior manager at PwC.
