Nick Michaelides, vice president of U.S. federal sales at Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO), has been promoted to senior VP of the companys U.S. public sector organization.
He will leverage his experience in government security and innovation as well as his understanding of the companys mission to facilitate the development and deployment of technology platforms in support of the public sector, the company said Tuesday.
Michaelides, a 2018 Wash100 winner, has been with Cisco for 14 years and has held senior leadership roles at the company, including senior director for defense operations.
Prior to Cisco, he previously worked as a regional executive at Sun Microsystems and system engineer at NBI.
