Don Raines Joins Alion as Chief Growth Officer; Steve Schorer Quoted

Don Raines, formerly senior vice president of corporate business development and capture at MacAulay-Brown, has been appointed chief growth officer at Alion Science and Technology.

He will oversee business development and strategic initiatives in his role at Alion, the company said Wednesday.

œDon brings more than 30 years of business development, operational leadership, acquisition, program management and national security planning for defense and intelligence agencies to Alion, said Steve Schorer, chairman and CEO of Alion.

“He drove growth across MacB™s markets and we look forward to him continuing this effort for Alion,” Schorer added.

Raines previously worked at ManTech International™s (Nasdaq: MANT) mission, cyber and intelligence solutions business as executive director for business development prior to joining MacB, which was acquired by Alion in August 2018. He is former president of RIIT Solutions and a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel.
