TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 28, 2019 Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is working to facilitate internet access for military veterans in rural areas as part of a collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs to deliver telehealth services as well as education, business and job opportunities to retired service members, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Shelley McKinley, head of technology and corporate responsibility at Microsoft, wrote Wednesday that the company plans to provide capital, training resources and its technology capabilities to help bring broadband internet access to rural veterans and teach them digital skills to leverage this connectivity through the Microsoft Airband Initiative.
