TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 17, 2019 Siemens‘ New Jersey-based central research and development unit will collaborate with the Department of Energy to develop a system that will work to manage distributed energy resources under a $6.4M contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Ulrich Muenz and Sindhu Suresh of Siemens Corporate Technology, alongside DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Columbia University and Holy Cross Energy as partners in the Autonomous and Resilient Operation of Energy Systems with Renewables project, will seek to build an energy management system with the functionality to increase microgrid resiliency and restore power autonomously.
