Lt. Col. David Canady, Deputy Division Chief for Operations, Directorate of Cyberspace and Information Dominance, Announced as Panelist for Potomac Officers Club’s 2019 Cybersecurity Summit

Lt. Col. David Canady, deputy division chief for Operations, Directorate of Cyberspace and Information Dominance, will be featured as a panelist for the Potomac Officers Club’s 2019 Cybersecurity Summit on May 8th.

At the event, GovCon leaders from the public and private sector will discuss cyber resiliency and how to collaborate effectively on new cyber programs, cyber automation, shared initiatives and emerging technologies in the federal market.

Lt. Col. Canady assists the Division Chief advocate, organize, train and equip cyberspace forces to employ cyberspace weapons systems and provide expeditionary communications capabilities in support of combatant commanders. He also delivers enterprise-wide information technology, oversees engineering and installation and cyberspace programs on behalf of the U.S. Air Force.

He’s also responsible for shaping Air Combat Command and Air Force-level policy and informing governance related to the cyberspace workforce, operations, processes and capabilities for the ACC Director of Cyberspace and Information Dominance, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations, and the Air Force Chief Information Officer.

Lt. Col. Canady was commissioned in 1999 after earning a bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He commanded at the squadron level twice and served in a range of operational leadership, planning and staff assignments in Air Combat Command, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Air Mobility Command and Air Force Space Command. He’s also deployed in support of Operations Iraqi, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force Cobra.
