Stephen Denker
Stephen Denker, a retired Air Force major general, has been named head of satellite ground programs at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) in a move that will take effect on April 1.
He will be responsible for intelligence and analytics development initiatives in support of space ground platforms as part of the mission solutions business line within Lockheed™s space segment, the company said Thursday.
Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheed™s space business and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said Denker will oversee digital innovation efforts across the company™s space ground programs and support design and engineering teams through his knowledge of user needs and mission operations.
Denker œwill help us implement new and innovative technologies while keeping a firm grounding in real-world needs and operations, said Maria Demaree, VP and general manager of mission solutions at Lockheed.
Denker is a 33-year Air Force veteran who previously served as deputy director of the National Reconnaissance Office and senior military adviser at the agency.
