TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 21, 2019 ” Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) formed an alliance with the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the University of Washington in an effort to advance multisector research on quantum information science, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said Monday the Northwest Quantum Nexus coalition seeks to leverage collaboration between government, industry and academia to drive QIS-related activity in line with the goals of the National Quantum Initiative Act and develop the Pacific Northwest region’s economy and workforce around quantum capabilities.
