TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 6, 2019 A General Atomics business unit will develop and test a Lithium-ion battery system for U.S. Navy unmanned undersea vehicles under a contract with Advanced Technology International, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
General Atomics said Monday its electromagnetic systems unit will provide a prototype Lithium-ion Fault Tolerant battery to power the propulsion and support systems of the Navy’s Snakehead Large-Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle.
