TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 1, 2019 Boeing (NYSE: BA) has rolled out two tanker aircraft from its Washington assembly facility for delivery to the U.S. Air Force as the company lines up eight others for customer acceptance trials, ExecutiveBiz reported Jan. 25.
GeekWire reported Jan. 24 that Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business, facilitated the transfer of the two KC-46A Pegasus tankers to the service branch, which will house them at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas and eventually deploy them for aerial refueling operations.
Caret, a 2019 Wash100 awardee, unveiled the surprise delivery of the second Pegasus unit during the handover ceremony at the Everett plant.
