TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 3, 2018 ” An Optum business unit will oversee healthcare service provider networks for the Department of Veterans Affairs across three U.S. regions covering 36 states, Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands under separate contracts, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The VA said FridayOptum Public Sector Solutions will manage the Community Care Network providers in Regions 1, 2 and 3, with the network serving as the vehicle through which the department can procure veteran care from community healthcare providers.
