TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 7, 2018 Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) has worked with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Minnesota Department of Transportation on separate projects that leveraged automated drone technology to perform bridge inspections, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday its Falcon 8+ drone assisted the Kentucky agency and its partner Michael Baker International to inspect the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge, as well as MnDOT and its partner Collins Engineers to inspect the Stone Arch Bridge, with automated flight paths programmed using Intel Mission Control and data fed into the Intel Insight Platform for analysis.
