TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 29, 2018 Todd Probert, vice president of mission support and modernization at Raytheon (NYSE: RTN), has said the company is working with Silicon Valley partners to identify commercial technologies that could potentially be applied for military use, ExecutiveBiz reported Nov. 2.
Aviation Today reported Nov. 1 that Raytheon has moved from exclusively in-house technology development toward strategic partnerships that Probert said could take the form of investment support, licensing or joint research and development, as the Defense Department eyes “cutting-edge” capabilities from the commercial sector to meet its needs.
