Microsoft's Brad Smith Eyes Proactive Role to Address Issues in Gov't Use of Tech

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 30, 2018 ” Brad Smith, president and chief legal officer of Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), has said the company will continue to work with the government to help shape the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies and support efforts to protect the U.S. against threats, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

He wrote in a blog post published Friday that Microsoft aims to use its position as a corporate citizen to contribute to the discussion about the issues surrounding AI as well as enable the government to have access to technology that could help it defend the country.
