TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 25, 2018 A division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has equipped a U.S. NavyNimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier with a new integrated radar structure as part of a refueling and complex overhaul program worth $2.8B, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Friday its Newport News Shipbuilding business installed the radar tower on the USS George Washington to wrap up 25 percent of RCOH work, which is scheduled to run through late 2021 following updates to various structures and systems.
