Sasa Eric
Sasa Eric, a senior manager at Deloitte Digital, has said there are three factors agencies should consider as they transform operations through cloud adoption and one is the opportunity that cloud offers when it comes to enhancing user experience.
Eric wrote that agencies should consider adopting a mix of cloud platforms to meet their requirements and help employees understand the benefits of cloud-based tools.
He cited the infrastructure as a service, platform as a service and software as a service as the components of a cloud pyramid and the potential advantage of leveraging the SaaS layer.
He noted how the combination of PaaS and SaaS offerings with agile methods could help agencies transform user engagement through applications and called on agencies to have a shared responsibility with their cloud service providers when it comes to cloud management.
Agencies should work with their CSP(s) to determine where accountability for protecting applications and data resides, and take steps to extend agency security capabilities beyond what the CSP provides, Eric added.
Eric also mentioned that cloud offers agencies an opportunity to update their infrastructure and centralize data protection, identity management and security compliance.
