TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 14, 2018 The Northrop Grumman-built (NYSE: NOC) Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System has undergone a live air test with the U.S. Army to validate its target detection and tracking functions, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the IBCS was able to engage with representative airborne threats during the three-week test event at the White Sands Missile Range, demonstrating the capability of its networked sensors and launchers and the linking of various systems and controls to deliver an “enterprise-level” air and missile defense approach.
