TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 6, 2018 ” Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) KC-46 Pegasus aerial tanker program has received a supplemental type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration to mark the completion of the agency’s airworthiness review of the aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said Tuesday the accreditation is the culmination of a series of ground, laboratory and flight tests to evaluate the performance of the KC-46™s boom and drogue systems for aerial refueling operations.
