TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 15, 2018 ” AT&T (NYSE: T) has received clearance to offer its unified communications services to the U.S. Army beginning the third quarter of this year via the service branch’s continental U.S. unclassified network, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 1.
The company said the authority-to-operate provides for the delivery of instant messaging, persistent chat, video, voice, presence and screen-sharing services.
“The U.S. Army has validated our readiness to modernize the way its warfighters and staff connect, collaborate and share information using our connectivity capabilities,” Mike Leff, vice president of defense at AT&T’s public sector business, told GovCon Daily.
