TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 14, 2018 The federal services business of Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has secured a potential $27.3 million contract to design and develop a new data center for the Library of Congress and U.S. Copyright Office, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 1.
The company said Aug. 1 the contract also covers the transfer of the Library’s existing data center to new hosting platforms such as a private cloud or an external as-a-service system with the goal to bolster the security, performance and reliability of its data infrastructure.
“We recognize this effort is pivotal in achieving the Librarys strategic goal of deploying state-of-the-industry technology to expand and speed digital access to its vast collection of books and media,” said Elaine Beeman, senior managing director and civilian portfolio leader at Accenture Federal Services.
