Joe Bagnal
Joel Bagnal, a former executive at L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) and BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary, has joined cybersecurity company Vericlave as president and chief operating officer.
Vericlave said Monday Bagnal aims to develop and implement strategies for the company to help government and enterprise clients secure critical assets from potential cyber attacks.
He previously served as senior vice president of cybersecurity solutions at L3 and president of Detica, where he remained in the leadership post after its acquisition by BAE in 2008.
Bagnal worked for the White House in the seven years following the Sept. 11 attacks. One of his roles was advising the U.S. president on homeland security and counterterrorism matters.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and retired from the U.S. Army after two decades of service.
