TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 8, 2018 ” BAE Systems has marked the 150th delivery of its OE-120 identification friend-or-foe antenna system to the U.S. Navy, which uses the technology aboard ships to help optimize situational awareness and detect potential threats, ExecutiveBiz reported July 26.
The company said July 25 the electronically scanned shipboard antenna, which also supports air traffic management systems, is currently deployed across 150 U.S. and allied naval vessels and originally designed to supplement the Aegis Combat System.
“[The] team has successfully delivered the OE-120 antenna for more than 30 years, offering navies around the world constant fleet protection,” noted Dave Logan, vice president and general manager of BAE’s command, control, computers, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems business area.
