BAE to Update Army Black Hawk Helicopters’ Navigation System With Touchscreen Display

TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 2, 2018 — BAE Systems will supply at least 250 touchscreen computer display units to update the Doppler GPS navigation system on the U.S. Army‘s UH-60A/L Black Hawk helicopters under a new task order, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the task order, which it received via a previously awarded $226 million contract, aims to modernize the CDUs on the helicopters’ ASN-128 navigation system with touchscreen control in an effort to reduce the need for heads-down pilot tasks.
