TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 30, 2018 Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has delivered to the U.S. Marine Corps its first active electronically scanned array radar system equipped with a gallium nitride antenna designed to support real-time threat monitoring, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday the AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task-Oriented Radar with GaN technology works to provide 360-degree coverage and detect objects such as fixed-wing aircraft, unmanned autonomous systems, helicopters, cruise missiles, rockets, mortars and artillery.
