TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 26, 2018 IBM (NYSE: IBM) has collaborated with the Air Force Research Laboratory to develop an experimental supercomputer designed to operate with computing power similar to a human neural network to perform pattern recognition and sensory processing applications, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
AFRL’s information directorate said TuesdayBlue Raven, located at the agency’s Advanced Computing Applications Lab in New York, is the largest neuromorphic digital synaptic supercomputer in the world and features IBM’s TrueNorth processors that will work to support operations while limiting power consumption to 40 watts.
