TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 24, 2018 Equinix‘s (Nasdaq: EQIX) government solutions arm has completed its integration of Verizons former business unit Terremark Federal Group, marking the closure of Equinixs $3.6 billion acquisition of 29 data centers from Verizon, ExecutiveBiz reported July 17.
Equinix said TFG will serve to expand its contract vehicles and help deliver data center platforms and interconnection services to federal agencies and civilian research and education customers.
“We are already seeing positive traction from key customers capitalizing on our understanding of their missions with the combined assets that Equinix has accumulated over the past 20 years,” David Peed, vice president of Equinix Government Solutions, told ExecutiveBiz.
