TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 19, 2018 The U.S. Navy has launched the Huntington Ingalls Industries-built (NYSE: HII) Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer designated DDG 121 at the company’s shipyard in Mississippi, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Ingalls Shipbuilding hosted the launch and “translation” from dry dock to water of the future USS Frank E. Petersen Jr., which would eventually join a Navy fleet that includes 30 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers delivered by the shipyard, the company said Monday.
