TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 2, 2018 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and its shipbuilding partners have hosted U.S. Navy Secretary Richard Spencer on a tour around the Wisconsin shipyard where the team builds Freedom-variant littoral combat ships for the service branch, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
Spencer visited the Fincantieri Marinette Marine shipyard to observe the LCS production line, which featured updates made possible through an estimated $120 million private investment, and to see ongoing work on the future USS Wichita currently designated LCS 13, Lockheed said Thursday.
Lockheed’s main partners on “Team Freedom” are Fincantieri Marinette Marine and Gibbs & Cox.
