TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 26, 2018 The U.S. Navy has awarded AECOM (NYSE: ACM) a potential $24 million contract to build an aircraft parking apron and support facilities at a military air base in Australia, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The contract provides for the construction of four airfield-rated concrete, paved aircraft parking spots; relocation of existing fuel isolation valve pits; and installation of four Type III fuel hydrant pits at the Australian air force base in Darwin, the company said Thursday.
“This project will provide critical defense infrastructure and expand our federal construction portfolio in the Australian market,” said Vern Kuehn, executive vice president and general manager of the federal division at AECOMs construction services business.
