TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 22, 2018 Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has switched on two main systems of NASAs James Webb Space Telescope in support of the test and integration phase of the program, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday its engineers used external power tools to generate compatible energy in order to simulate in-orbit conditions and separately power up the Optical Telescope element/Integrated Science instrument module and Spacecraft Element at facilities in Redondo Beach, Calif.
