TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 14, 2018 Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Thales have established an alliance that aims to advance a new cloud platform intended to enable defense customers to store and secure classified and sensitive information within their information technology infrastructure while on the field, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The partnership will see the integration of Microsofts Azure Stack hybrid cloud platform with Thales cybersecurity and encryption technologies to underpin the cloud-based offering that could be utilized by service personnel to perform national security missions in remote and demanding environments, Microsoft said Tuesday.
“Together with Thales, we will be able to provide a flexible cloud platform with an unequaled level of security that will help overcome challenges within the defense industry,” said Jean-Philippe Courtois, executive vice president and president of global sales, marketing and operations at Microsoft.
