TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 18, 2018 Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and the U.S. intelligence community have entered into a six-year, transformative agreement that will work to expand the use of the Redmond, Wash.-based companys technologies across 17 IC agencies, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Toni Townes-Whitley, Microsoft corporate vice president for industry, said in a blog post published Wednesday the deal covers the provision of Azure Government cloud, Office 365 for US Government and Windows 10 to intelligence agencies and extends a joint enterprise licensing agreement given to Dell.
The agreement is intended to enable the IC to leverage Microsoft Cloud for Government solutions to support national security missions, modernize information technology infrastructure and streamline operations.
