TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 15, 2018 The Transportation Department has selected AT&T (NYSE: T) to provide long-term evolution network coverage for a pilot program designed to test unmanned aerial vehicles as part of government efforts to integrate UAVs into the national airspace, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
DOTs Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Pilot Program will use AT&Ts Flying Cell on Wings technology to provide LTE cellular coverage in remote areas in preparation for potential drone deployment, including after disasters and during emergency operations, Fierce Wireless reported Friday.
