TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 6, 2018 Boeing (NYSE: BA) has worked with the U.S. Air Force to complete fuel on-load tests on its KC-46 aerial tanker aircraft as part of the certification process with the Federal Aviation Administration, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the Supplemental Type Certificate process included a recent aerial refueling flight with 146,000 pounds of fuel transferred from one KC-46 tanker to another at the maximum off-load rate of 1,200 gallons per minute.
