TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 21, 2018 The Boeing-built (NYSE: BA) P-8A Poseidon maritime surveillance aircraft has achieved initial operational capability with the Australian air force, whose Number 11 Squadron operates the fleet from its base in South Australia, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The air force said the fleet attained IOC status five months early, with six of the 12 Poseidon aircraft that Australia ordered already delivered to provide support for the military’s future maritime strategy.
