TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 5, 2018 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will provide its MK 41 vertical launching system for the Type 26 Global Combat Ship that BAE Systems is building for the U.K. navy, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The system will serve to launch anti-air, anti-submarine, surface-to-surface and strike-length missiles from the vessels, with BAE initially placing orders for nine MK 41 VLS modules on the first three ships of the Type 26 class, Lockheed said Thursday.
