NASA has awarded Akima Support Operations a potential $131.7 million contract to help manage and maintain the space agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.
The Facilities Operations and Maintenance Services III contract is structured as an 8(a) small business set-aside acquisition with the period of performance slated to begin on March 1, NASA said Wednesday.
Work covers utility services for central power plants, high-voltage systems, generators and fire protection systems; snow and ice clearance; roof repair and replacement; asbestos abatement; caulking and painting; fence repairs; concrete pavement; boiler maintenance and repair; chemical water treatment; and emergency services.
