The European Commission has approved a deal for Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) to acquire Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) for approximately $9.2 billion.
Northrop said Monday it continues to support the Federal Trade Commission in its effort to evaluate the transaction.
The European Commissions decision came nearly a month after Kathy Warden, Northrop president and chief operating officer and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, announced plans to establish a new innovation systems business once the Falls Church, Virginia-based defense contractor completes the acquisition.
