Ed Stockton, formerly director of business development at ViON‘s federal civilian business, has been appointed as vice president of services at the Herndon, Virginia-based government information technology contractor.
ViON said Thursday that Stockton brings more than 17 years of IT service management experience to his new position and aims to help drive the company’s sales and delivery of services to customers.
His areas of responsibility encompass field engineering, onsite break and fix support, engineering changes, preventative and concurrent maintenance, spares support and secure support center.
Eds industry experience and understanding of the demands our customers face in the field will allow us to strengthen our customer intimacy model and facilitate a more seamless transition to new data center technologies for all our customers at a time when they need it most,” said ViON Chairman and CEO Tom Frana.
Stockton previously served as director of services delivery at CA Technologies for more than five years and managed 22 IT projects with an annual $15 million budget in that capacity.
He joined CA Technologies upon its 2011 acquisition of IT management consulting firm Base Technologies, where he previously served as director of government operations.
